Babs

Babs is a black British woman born in London, living in the seaside city of Brighton and Hove and was adopted as a baby by her white parents and raised within a Jewish/Christian family.

Babs was living a ‘diverse’ life before the term became mainstream and she shares about her experiences of being brought up in 1960’s Brighton and encountering racism and challenging behaviours, often from unexpected quarters.

Barbara is a proud mother/grandmother and works for an NHS Trust as their Head of Equality, Diversity and Human Rights.
