Sabera Ahsan – Associate Trainer

A highly motivated and knowledgeable trainer with over 10 years’ experience, Sabera’s qualifications include a BA honours in Spanish and European Studies, PGCE, TEFL, MSC in Information Systems, BTEC Professional Certificate in Fairness and Diversity Training, NVQ A1 Assessor and an MA in Screenwriting for TV and Cinema and an MSc in Terrorism Studies.

Sabera started her career working as a Primary School Teacher in Spain for 2 years and then a further 7 years in England, followed by a career in public services working with Sussex Police, National Police Improvement Agency, Association Chief Police Officers and the Home Office.

Whilst at Sussex Police and the National Policing Improvement Agency, Sabera worked as an Advisor/Trainer in the area of Equality Diversity and Human Rights, planning and delivering courses around subjects such as Honour Crime, Disability, Women Trafficking, Community Engagement with women and young people, Radicalisation awareness, and Counter terrorism.  Sabera has also worked in the Home Office in youth and women offending, FGM, Mental Health and Policing and Police Strategy and Reform.

Sabera is also experienced in conducting Equality Impact Assessments, Implementing and reviewing diversity products and conducting Need Analysis for embedding diversity into organisations. With Sabera’s qualifications, skills and experience in a variety of public sector roles, BDB is well placed to meet the needs of individuals and diverse organisations.
